Looks like they may now
Looks like they may now move the annual ALA conference ? I guess I’ll wait a little while longer before I decide to make reservations, eh? Personally, my vote always goes for New Orleans. Now THAT is a great place for a conference!

New Orlens in the middle of summer? Yikes.
They should move it to Boston. Then I can come down and see y’all and go to a few conferences.
I dee-clare! I would simply *wilt* in all that summer heat! C’mon Aaron, you could handle it. Although Boston is a great idea too. Maybe we should petition them to move it to Kennebunk. Can you imagine 10,000 Librarians in Maine? You would surely run out of lobster (and alcohol). The bartenders at ALA conferences are always stunned at the free wheelin? nature of the Librarians swarming all over their towns. Well, that’s what I’ve heard anyway.
It’s true, it’s true. There’s a famous quote about library conferences…
“You honor your reservations; you go to your meetings so we can clean the rooms; you’re relatively quiet; and you drink more than the American Legion.”

Awesome comment, Steph! Thanks. That’s what we need around here, solid facts! (from Steph anyway, I worry about Aaron’s facts;). I’m just glad you didn’t overindulge any when you went on your spree, Steph (except for that time with the city bus and the Ripple) Frankly, I think the Librarians go so nuts because they never get any vacations because the pay is so low.
