Blogathon 2003
Blogathon 2003
?During the Blogathon, people update their websites every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. For this, they collect sponsorships. Pledges can be a flat donation, or a certain amount for every hour the blogger manages to stay awake.? Even if you just want to enjoy the spectacle, mark your calendar for July 26th. Everything starts at 6:00am Pacific Time.
Also noteworthy is the fact that several of the participating bloggers are earning money for Book Aid International, which works to provide books, training and support to public libraries in Africa.

So, uhh…is there any requirement that the blog posts have to be interesting? Or you can you just type “Argle Bargle” and click Post every half hour?
This is all so out of control! What’s the point? I don’t get it. Littering cyberspace . . . there should be substance filters on all the blogging tools, say I.
Kris: The point is to raise money for charity! And to say you did it too I imagine. It’s like doing a charity walk or marathon. The charity you select to blog for is rewarded by your stamina. That is, as long as you have pledges. Wait, were you being a wisenheimer there, Mr. Silly?
Aaron, if you stay as witty as “Argle Bargle” for 24 hours, I’ll pledge $1 an hour. Hey, I’m searching for a job here, gimmie a break!
