Blog Salon? My Goal Is To Bartend…
…and make it a blog saloon!
May not happen though as I hear the position of bartender is hotly contested at this event. Oh well, even if I’m not pouring, I hope to see you there if you are in Seattle this week for ALA Midwinter. It’ll be fun!!!
“The Blog Salon will be in room 3028, the OCLC Blue Suite, Saturday beginning around 8pm. The Sheraton is under construction so you come in at street level and need to go up to the ballroom level (2) to get an elevator.

By Sunday morning, my hearing had recovered.
The fun part of Sheraton’s elevators is that the “cheap seats” side (for those of us on floors below 21) sometimes wouldn’t open the doors on Floor 2. You had to ride up to Floor 3 and take two sets of escalators… There is something unnerving about an elevator stopping on the floor you requested, which is also clearly the limit of its travels, then clicking a couple of times and going in the reverse direction.
Good thing you are a patient man, Walt. It was good to get to talk with you again in SEA!
