It’s True, She Really Did

It's True.

She Blinded Me With Science” was the first record I ever bought (a 45 even!). I was in 6th grade and it blew my little preteen mind, man!

You can buy the shirt here, but be warned, you might have to wait a couple of months for delivery. Worth the wait? Oh my yes!

I actually met Thomas Dolby around 1991 - he taught a master class I was taking (all about music stuff - it was cool).

He blinded me … with his shiny head :-)

I love it and must order one now. It may replace my “Kiss me I’m a librarian t-shirt” as favorite in the t-shirt drawer. Thanks,MP!

Brenda: Wait till ALA, the place will be crawling with people wearing this one! :)

DLK: You get cooler with every new detail. Well, other than not being able to tell your north from your south. But beyond that…

Heh. I wore mine on the Monday of ALA Midwinter. Got lots of comments on it. :)

I saw three folks at MW wearing them and I’ll bet one of ‘em was you! :) It was all I could do to restrain my self from running up to them and confessing that I too had been blinded by her library science (and it accompanying t-shirt:).

My first 45 ever was “Freezeframe” by the J. Geils Band. I was 10 at the time, I believe. I am old.

Oh man, I LOVED that song. They had a song called “Piss On The Wall” that made me laugh and feel very rebelious (as a young un’). Their best song though? “Flamethrower”. Oh man, that song still rocks mightily.
