"Just to clarify, in my response to John, I in NO way meant to diss the library people who have embraced (rational, thoughtful) change over the decades or treat them. Nor did I mean to imply they were unwillingly dealing with it. I hold my profession and my colleges in the highest esteem. They "raised" me professionally and help shaped my ideas on these issues. I still hold the above opinions but apologize if any of them were phrased in a way that offended anyone reading them and didn't reference the scores of amazing leaps and accomplishments libraries and library staff have made, particularly in the last 40-50 years. Doesn't mean I don't think we are at a unique and critical time still, but I hope we can deal with it respectfully and inclusively."</description>
