North Carolina

North Carolina is a good thing.  In fact, it is one of the best states I've visited.  There are many parts that are less memorable and mildly icky, but there are also parts with lots of culture, friendly people, good food and beautiful natural resources (trees, beaches and water galore).  I recommend North Carolina for a visit if you have the time.  You'll probably want to stay near the east coast and the college towns.  If you do that you will likely have a high old time.  If you visit Wilmington you might even see a move being filmed!
Stacy and Michael look up to see where they are.  Oh yeah,  North Carolina!  Wilmington to be exact.
Leah and Stacy become increasingly annoyed as I insist on taking their picture while they are trying to eat their ice cream and take in the view.
Wilmington is one of my favorite cities in the US.  Right on Cape Fear, near the ocean, great food, shopping just a blast all around to visit.  I was surprised to learn that it is often referred to as the "Hollywood of the East Coast" since lots of movies are filmed there.  We even saw some Hollywood types shooting some scenes while we were out tromping around one night.
Thinking hard.
Thinking hard at the beach.

Here, I have decided against thinking hard while at the beach.
