This church is a full size replica of a famous "Borgund Stavkirke" or Stave Church from Norway. The original church is over 800 years old. The building is entirely made of wood and is really a very impressive thing to see in person. Tucked away on a beautiful spot of hillside on the edge of Rapid City, this was another beautiful and pleasant surprise we found during our visit to South Dakota.
